The Center @ Jenks Rest (Tippecanoe County Council on Aging, Inc.) is celebrating 37 years of service.

The Center opened its doors as an advocate for older adults in July 1973.

In 1974, it offered programs to the community with the development of the Senior Center in downtown Lafayette and moved to its current location at Jenks Rest in Columbian Park in 1991.

In 1975, TCCA opened the first congregate meal site in the county and began its health screening services.

Care-A-Van, which offers specialized transportation for seniors and/or disabled citizens, got on the road in 1979.

We became a United Way agency in 1983.

SHARP (Senior Housing Assistance Repair Program) which offers needed home repairs for senior homeowners, started in 1996.
From the beginning The Center @ Jenks Rest has focused on seniors. Our mission is to encourage seniors to actively achieve their highest quality of life and our plan is to keep that focus for many years to come!
